About Me

I grew up in an unconventional family on the plains of Nebraska. My mother was an English and Latin teacher and each morning she and we four kids went off  to our respective schools.

My father was the inventor of the Wrist Rocket Slingshot (among others) and each morning he stayed at home to work in the slingshot factory which was in the basement of our house. He would have dinner ready when we all came home from school, and he often drove the Dad Cab. This was in the 1950’s and 60’s, well before the Working-Mom/Stay-at-Home Dad combo was common.
My mother taught me the joy and importance of life long learning; and my father taught me to think outside the box.  These skills have served me well as an artist and I am grateful for the example they set.

I currently live with my husband Duane in Estes Park CO when we are not traveling the USA in our motorhome.
